As expected, I participated in the I4T Knowledge 2024 Seminar (I4T), sponsored by UNESCO, in Paris. In fact, it is a project already underway, with several founding organizations, think tanks, regulators, in IT field, Law and the Internet that gave rise to the document with Guidelines for the governance of digital platforms (published by UNESCO).
However, several
documents were still under consideration and discussion, especially regarding
the Board of Directors, financing and "on-the-ground" operations, for
example. Future events (June 18th and 19th in Dubrovnik, Croatia already announced)
are expected to be resolved on these and other topics.
As a final point
of the seminar, a press release was written in order to make this fabulous work
public.
